This past Friday I wrote a post about finding inspiration at home so I wanted to further share with you things I found this week that brought joy and inspiration into my life.
Articles:
This is an excellent interview with world class Muay Thai fighter Mia Kang about body acceptance. I have always really admired female athletes who are breaking down the stereotypes that being strong and loving fashion exist in two different worlds. This is a short article that quickly inspired me this past week.
This past Wednesday as Vice President Harris was sworn I couldn’t help but cry tears of joy. This article perfectly articulates the feeling of hopelessness many of us have felt over the past four years. I certainly have felt that there has been no joy, or hope, in our country for way too long.
Fashion:
This dress from New Zealand designer Maggie Marilyn looks like an absolute dream to wear. I am in a jeans and sweater rut at the moment and this dress inspires me to put a dress on again. I want something that is comfortable to wear around the house, and would be a great piece to wear out into the world eventually.
Tove Studios can do no wrong in my mind. This top is perfect to style with a pair of jeans right now while working from home and it will automatically make my outfit, and mood, feel elevated. Plus, it will be a beautiful piece to style when I can go out again.
My imagination is going wild for where I will wear these trousers from New Zealand brand Harris Trapper. The color is neutral enough to wear will a multitude of tops, but they are a true statement on their own as well. Also, flow of the fabric is very alluring.
Beauty:
UBeauty is having a very rare sale that allows you to subscribe to the Resurfacing Compound and Super Smart Hydrator and receive 25% for life. If you want to know more about this brand and the products check out my blog post with my review. There are very few beauty products that I cannot live without and these two items are absolutely part of that list.
Home:
I recently purchased a new candle from Harlem Candle Company. I bought the Josephine candle and it smells amazing. The scent fills the room and lingers long after I have blown it out.
This pillow cover features the Picasso painting “Head of a Woman in a Hat” and I absolutely love it. A really beautiful way to add some color and art to your home.
These vintage french champagne buckets are a really nice addition to a home bar. Plus, when not in use chilling bubbles you could fill them with flowers (spring time needs to get here ASAP).
