This weeks Friday Five started when I saw this stunning Thebe Magugu blazer. I have been on the hunt for the perfect brown blazer for awhile, but I wanted one that had some uniqueness to it. Classic with a twist you might say. Pairing the blazer with a cashmere brown sweater from Kesnyc allows for that tonal brown look that is stunning in the Fall. Side note; I could do an entire Friday Five edit with just items from Kesnyc. I love every piece created by the small New York based brand. Another brand I cannot stop browsing is Caes. It is a sustainably minded brand that creates minimalistic and timeless pieces. I have been on the hunt for a pair of black pants that look professional and comfortable for all day wear. The slits on these add an extra element that I really appreciate.
The loafers are from the fantastic designer Caron Callahan. Her loafers are timeless pieces due to their simplicity and beautiful construction. I particularly liked the patent leather effect of these loafers as a contrast to the muted colors of the rest of the outfit. I am not really a purse person, but this style from Neous is one I can get behind. The delicate gold chain is a nice contrast to the oversized nature of the bag. The color is a beautiful burgundy/ brown that can be worn with basically everything.
I know the old adage is to not combine brown and black together. I hope though that this outfit shows you that rules are meant to be broken.
