Friday Five: It’s all about the boots
I have been trying to wear items that are a bit outside my comfort zone lately. Challenging myself to wear an item of clothing that I love, but I am not sure if it is me. Last year I purchased a pair of Miista boots because I could not stop thinking about them. Even though I do not wear heels well I absolutely loved them. I instantly feel a little cooler in them. These brown ones are the perfect neutral to go with everything. Paired with straight leg denim and 90’s style baguette bag I am living out my fashion fantasies. Let me take a step back and talk about designer of the bag Brother Vielles. I am a bit obsessed with this brand and the unique pieces produced. Each item feels like a vintage find which tells me that you’ll keep these pieces forever. Also, Beyonce is a big fan so it has some serious street cred.
I am a fan of silk for everyday wear. Yes, it is a delicate fabric. That being said this brown shirt from Maison Essentiele feels a bit more versatile for everyday. Maybe it is the darker color and casual style that feels slightly more durable. Who knows. But I really love it. The last piece to every great outfit is a great belt. This one from Maje is simple, yet elevated with the gold hardware. It also has a 70s feel to it that I am very into right now. This whole outfit makes me want to go and have a proper night out. Or, strut around my house because my bedtime is 9 pm.
