This past week the weather in Salt Lake City was absolutely amazing. The early evenings were in the low 60’s and I walked my dog with a just a light coat on. After a very cold January and February I felt renewed. I know that the kind of weather I experienced this past week is part of a “Spring Fake Out.” It inspired me though to put together my favorite early spring essentials. My transitional pieces from the heavy wools of winter to lighter fabrics for warmer weather.
I recently purchased this Burberry trench coat from The RealReal and I am so happy I finally decided to do so. I have read for many years about the versatility of a trench coat and I can attest it is my favorite piece in my closet now. The other item in my closet that gets lots of wear during the warmer months is my Eileen Fisher cotton striped sweater. There are so many out there but the Kule sweater and La Ligne sweater are my favorites. Finally, a great pair of white denim is the piece de resistance. I am officially obsessed with Closed Denim, but a wide leg pair like these from Frame Denim or Mango are my next investment.
