This past week I saw a photo of this beach club in Malibu and my imagination went wild. What would I wear to this fabulous place? What kind of music would playing? I will probably never visit this place but I had to plan what I would possibly wear, and honestly what I would drink (Aperol Spritz of course). This seems like the kind of place you could spend all day and time would time fly by.
Friday Five- Let’s go to the beach
More than anything right now I want to be around people and enjoy life. Which is why I was so attracted to this picture of a beach club. Just the idea of having a lively conversation with others, listening to music and dressing up a bit brings me so much joy. I have spent way too much imagining all the things I want to do, and wear, over the last year.
I love the idea of wearing a linen or silk robe as a dress in the coming months. It is comfortable, slightly dressy, and very laissez faire. This robe outside as a dress is also perfect as we emerge from being inside and wearing pjs 24/7. Adding a pearl necklace and some minimalistic white leather sandals dresses it up, but keeps it simple and elegant.
I love integrating more color into my summer wardrobe and this bag from Hereu is perfect. I know a beach bag or a straw bag might be the more obvious choice. I personally want to dress up a bit these days and so I am going with a pretty leather purse for this glamorous beach outing. The final piece de resistance is a pair of oversized tortoise shell sunglasses adds a very hollywood-esque element to the outfit.
