This week’s finds were inspired by the Slim Aarons book Women. I recently purchased this book and while looking through the pictures there was a sense of casual elegance with each woman that I find enviable. They wore colorful pieces, gorgeous jewelry and seemed to celebrate life everyday. As the weather heats up and the world reopens I want to celebrate life. I want to wear colorful clothing and reclaim a sense of joie de vivre I lost over the past year.
Friday Five: Slim Aarons Inspired
This Tove Studio dress is such a beautiful color and has a vintage feel to it that I adore.
I have my eye on the Cuyana silk/cashmere scarf for the summer months in lieu of a jacket. I carried a coat around with me all winter. I want to drape something over me when it gets cold. Plus, there is something so elegant about using a shawl in the evenings.
The Zouxou shoes are colorful enough to be unique without sacrificing their ability to go with almost any summer outfit.
This Studio Amelia bag is so perfect for the summer months. Honestly, it is perfect year-round. There is something so chic and nonchalant about carrying a clutch.
This ring from Completed Works is everything I want in jewelry. Gold, unique, a bit raw looking and oversized. This ring would elevate any outfit. The jewelry you find in the women wearing in the Slim Aarons photos stand out and that is why I loved this ring. It stands out.
