Hotel at Home: Bedroom Edition

It has been almost ten months since I had the opportunity to travel. I really miss the chance to visit a new place, or revisit a favorite destination, and having that time to disconnect from my day-to-day life back home. For myself, the hotel aspect of my vacation is just as important as my destination. Recently, I decided to transform my room into a hotel worthy space. I figure I will not be going away anytime soon, so having a space that gives me a chance to mentally feel like I am vacation is extremely important.

Boll & Branch Bedding

The most important part of a good hotel room is the bed. I recently learned about the company Boll & Branch and decided to give it a try. I purchased the Percale Hemmed Sheet Set and their Signature Embroidered Duvet. For my duvet insert I purchased Serena and Lily Primaloft Duvet Insert. Not only does my bed feel like a luxury hotel bed now, but it looks like one too. The duvet cover has a sateen shine to it and the sheets are cool to the touch. Plus, the duvet insert is really light, but incredibly fluffy.

A few other aspects I integrated into my bedroom for the hotel experience are my Frette slippers and a Four Seasons Hotel spa robe. The bathrobe felt like a ridiculous purchase when I bought it, but I have worn that robe more than any other piece of clothing in my closet. Also, it is very stain resistant. Trust me, I drink a lot of red wine while wearing this robe.

The final piece to complete my Hotel at Home bedroom was a proper scent. I wanted something that brought me back to a place that truly made me relax. For me, Santa Barbara is my happy place and where I got married. I chose to have Riveria French Kiss from Santa Barbara Apothecary burning next to bed.

Now, I just need to figure out room service 🙂
