I spent most of the past week contacting nonprofits across the country to see if my subscription box service idea would work. I feel really optimistic about this idea and the incredibly positive effects it will have for both charities and small business. Which means my attention has not been on clothing, beauty and home items as much as usual. That being said, here are the items that I thought were noteworthy.
Articles:
There is a cycle that occurs every week for me. Monday morning I wake up ready to conquer the world. I am re-energized from the weekend and I have my focus back. Then on Wednesday afternoon I start to feel frankly lazy. But Thursday afternoon I just want to turn The Office on and shut off the world. For me, not being around people or going anywhere really creates a feeling of apathy that I have never felt so strongly before. This CNBC article about not feeling guilty for those feelings during lockdown helped me understand why this cycle each week occurs. I still hate these feelings of apathy, but at least I know I am not alone.
Fashion:
This sage green mock neck sweater is making me want to start dressing for spring right now. I feel that this would be a great transitional piece going from later winter to spring.
I have the hardest time finding a belt that I find interesting. Belts are such an important piece of putting an outfit together and so when I found this Sezane one I got very excited. It has personality to it which I enjoy.
This Esse Studios dress would be something I put on in early summer and never take it off. The racerback top and lightweight skirt is a beautiful design.
Beauty:
I received a sample of this Brigeo shampoo recently and I am in love. It made my hair feel really clean and created amazing body.
This is a leave-in hair treatment that targets scalp health by Reverie and I am very interested in trying this.
Home:
I am over my home office at this point. Sometimes when I sit down at my computer I feel like I am being punished. I am just over the space and I want a refresh. This article with seven easy ways to update your work from home space is much appreciated. I plan to execute a few of the ideas and see how my mood changes.
